This super easy textured dishcloth looks great and its relatively simple, too! This free pattern is great for all crocheters, beginners and advanced alike. It’s a fun, quick make that comes out looking beautiful and professional, perfect for fancy dinners and casual lunches.

When I was a beginner crocheter, I constantly looked for patterns that would expand my crochet knowledge, were suitable for a beginner, and actually looked advanced. However, all I found was easy, simple patterns that, unfortunately, LOOKED easy and simple! I needed to find- or make- a pattern that everyone could make and looked great. So, with that thought in mind, I started playing around with different easy stitches, and this pattern was born.
For this pattern I provided pictures, because there are many steps to making this complex-looking dishcloth. However, once you get the hang of it you’ll be making a whole set for your kitchen!
So, let’s get started!
Materials
I used multicolor yarn to give it an ombre effect and love how the colors turned out.
As for crochet hooks, I used this set of bamboo hooks I got from amazon. I love these hooks so much! They’re smooth and look good. They even come in a great case. Between projects I switch out my hooks to match the width of my yarn. For this hook I used a small-medium sized hook, though it depends on what yarn you’re using.
That’s basically all you need for this awesome beginner pattern. Now that you’ve got your materials with you, I’m going to show this FREE pattern.
