Chevron Headband: Free Crochet Pattern

Are you scared of chevrons?

I used to be! Until one day, after seeing someone sporting an elegant chevron headband outside, I decided to conquer that fear with my very own pattern. After a few youtube videos and more than a few frogged attempts, I had the chevron stitch down. It was fun, easy, and pretty awesome.

I used all that to create a pattern for y’all – one that I think you’ll enjoy! Don’t know how to chevron? Don’t worry! Here, I explain the whole dance ๐Ÿ˜‰

Look at those stunning headbands! You can customize them to fit YOUR headsize without losing their elegant charm! I tweaked the chevron stitch to give it some ribbing, adding some texture that’ll spice things up.

I forgot to mention that this headband is ridiculously comfy. RIDICULOUSLY COMFY, QUICK TO MAKE, AND FANCY. I put one on this morning and forgot I was wearing it – until I was at my local park. I was walking in the evening, with the sun setting and the cherry blossoms blooming all over the path – when I saw a beautiful tree with white blooms over hanging the path, the water a few paces away. I just had to take some photos – and only after taking them did I remember that I was wearing my headband! I was glad that I was – not only did it keep my hair out of the way, but it gave my pictures a little bit of flare that I definitely needed.

Let’s get right to it!

Any medium-bulky weight yarn will do for this project. You’ll need a corresponding hook… and that’s it! You can leave your patience behind, this is a quick project (fortunately! I’m low on patience by nature ๐Ÿ™‚

If you want the free pattern, just stay with me! It’s coming up.

Also, before we go further… on this website you can find a free pattern for this headband. But… if you want a DIGITAL DOWNLOADABLE PDF VERSION OF THIS PATTERN (or if you just want to support me and my website!) you can consider purchasing it on my Ravelry or Etsy! I’ll link them both below. Etsy is a little bit more expensive because their fees are… nasty. But either way, purchasing a pattern on these platforms would help me out AND provide you with EXCLUSIVE VIDEO TUTORIALS, SIZE CUSTOMIZABILITY, AND MORE DETAILS that can’t be found below!
