These boho coasters were such a fun, quick make, and they look great! I used some leftover cotton yarn I had lying around to make a whole set of these. They can be fancy or casual, with their classy tassels and simple chic.

Another great thing about these coasters is that they’re suitable for anyone, even beginner crocheters. I hooked a few of these up in about twenty to twenty-five minutes. Think about how many you could make in an hour!

Keep these for your own house decor or give them to friends as small, handmade gifts they’re sure to appreciate. You can make multiple SETS with only one ball of yarn. Done deal!
I’ve always loved coasters because of their ability to be personalized. Circle coasters, square coasters, modern coasters, old fashioned coasters, they’re all beautiful. Just going on a walk gives me so many ideas for coasters that I NEED to make. If you want some more ideas for creative coasters, check out my site.

These boho coasters are given tassels after you are finished crocheting the body. You can personalize them by adding more/thicker tassels, or, if you wanted a more clean look, none at all!
To illustrate how easy these coasters are, let’s go over the stitches used.
Stitches used:
Magic ring (if you don’t know how to make a magic ring, no worries. There are hundreds of tutorials on youtube that you can find, they all work.)
Dc (double crochet) : yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over, pull through two loops on hook, yarn over, pull through remaining loops on hook.
Sl st (slip stitch) : insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook.
As you can see, these coasters use a minimal number of stitches. These are all stitches that you can find tutorials of easily on youtube. Never stay away from a pattern you love because it uses stitches you don’t know… there are always resources out there made for your use! When I was a beginner crocheter, I didn’t know half the stitches used in patterns of projects I wanted to make, but I was still able to make them with some handy videos that I accessed in only a few minutes!
And now, for the materials needed. This part is super easy and requires 0 stress. Simply grab any leftover yarn you have from previous projects. It’ll probably be enough! For hook size, use one that complies with your yarn width. I usually go a size down. If you don’t understand any of those terms, just take a hook that can “bite” you yarn- hook it easily (not too loose, or too tight.) Whatever feels right works. These coasters embrace all quirks!
Without further ado, let’s show the free pattern for these rustic boho coasters. If you’re having any trouble at all with the pattern, please comment on this post. I’d be more than open to making a video for this pattern, if so requested.
